Ribbon Cutting Ceremony at Marshalltown YMCA

On January 6, 2004, a ribbon cutting ceremony was held to commemorate the official opening of the Marshalltown YMCA. Craig Faber, Vice President of the Hansen Company, explained how the Marshalltown YMCA is one of Hansen's most impressive projects to date and how honored the Hansen Company is to have been a part of such a successful project. "From our perspective, the project went extremely well due to the cooperation and support from the city of Marshalltown, the entire YMCA staff, the architects and engineers working on the project and the Hansen staff; Jim Nielson, Steve Caldwell, Kevin Anderson and Ronda Kuipers," stated Craig Faber.

This two story recreational / wellness facility consists of approximatley 112,800 gross square feet and includes lobby, administration offices, double gyms, interior recreational pool, interior competition pool, competition pool bleacher seating, locker rooms, babysitting area, aerobics studios, strength training and power pacing studios, elevated/suspended running track, training area, elevator, mechanical and support spaces.
