Downtown Des Moines’ ambitious goal to create 10,000 new living units downtown by 2010 is beginning to take shape and the Hansen Company, Inc. is playing a major role!
To date, Hansen has constructed or is in process on nearly 500 units ranging from for sale or for lease lofts, flats, condos or apartments. You name the living unit type and we’ve recently built it!

In October 2005 Hansen was selected by Chicago Developer Joseph Freed & Associates to renovate the historic Younkers Department Store building into an exciting mix of retail, residential and parking components. This 6 to 7 story, approximately 306,000 square feet project will include approximately 118 living units.
