Gateway Lofts

1719 Gateway Lofts is located on the western edge of downtown Des Moines. This 120,000 square foot multi-family mixed use development is composed of two four-story loft buildings which includes a total of 95 rental units over a 100 stall ground level parking garage and a ground level retail/commercial office space. The structure is a precast post and beam system and with insulated precast sandwich panels enclosing the exterior. The main hallway jags and bends creating small niche or lobby areas that link unit clusters together. The meandering hallway contrasts with the regimented concrete structure creating unique unit layouts.
