Saint
Boniface Catholic Church
Phase 2
The Hansen Company was selected
for the 2nd Phase of construction, an addition on the west
end for an education wing, north for administration, and
on the east for a new sanctuary. This church has remained
fully operational throughout construction. The education/administration
wing is constructed of metal stud frame w/ brick veneer
and consists of 24 classrooms, seven offices, activity
room, conference room and commercial kitchen. The 1,000
seat sanctuary is a structural steel frame with metal stud
framing, brick veneer exterior, exposed glue laminated
beams, tongue & groove decking, and acid etched precast
wall and column wraps on the interior. A large baptismal
font has also been constructed with porcelain tile, precast
concrete and a granite cap.
On Saturday, December 8th, 2007,
St. Boniface Catholic Church celebrated the dedication
of their new addition. When it began, water was retrieved
from the baptismal font and used to bless all the parts
of the church. There was an extended mass with Fr.
Vince Rosonke and Tim Broderick, chairman of the construction
committee, talking about the addition. There was
a dinner that followed for all who attended the mass.
