Building a retail addition is a challenge. But, when the project must be done without closing the store, the challenge presented can only be handled by a general contractor such as Hansen Company, Inc.

Younkers in Valley West Mall in West Des Moines, Iowa was in need of more space for its upscale, two story suburban location.

The 40,000 sq. ft. addition involved the use of structural steel, pre-cast concrete panels, exterior insulation finishing systems and aluminum curtain wall and storefront systems as well as an EPDM roof. A similar project was also completed by Hansen for the Younkers Southridge store in Des Moines, Iowa.

The interior features acoustic ceilings, wall and ceiling systems as well as carpet and wood floor systems.
