17, 2004 marked the official groundbreaking for the Soho Lofts in
Des Moines "Urban" East Village.
The Soho Lofts are named after the trendy Soho District of New
York City and will feature an urban mixed use development.
This project will include 32 residential units for sale –
approximately 37,000 square feet total. This project will
also include over 10000 square feet of retail space for lease on
the street level. A 15,000 square foot underground parking
garage will accommodate parking for the condo buyers.
The structure of the building will included load bearing block walls,
structural steel framing, pre-cast concrete columns/beams/planks,
and wood framing for the upper levels. The building’s
exterior features brick & stone veneer with storefront canopies
along E 4th & Locust. The building is positioned around
the ‘Village Green’ an exterior courtyard ideal for
social events & gatherings.
