St. Pius X Catholic Church

The Hansen Company is constructing a 28,000 sf and addition to St. Pius X Catholic Church in Urbandale, Iowa. The addition contains a new narthex on the upper level and a fellowship hall on the lower level. The structural system for the addition consists of load bearing masonry and structural steel with an exterior brick veneer. An additional 6,000 sf of space, including the sanctuary, fellowship hall, and offices are also being renovated. The sanctuary is receiving a new baptismal font, tile floors and wood and fabric wall panels. This project began in July of 2007 and is scheduled for completion in June of 2008.
