Iowa Veterans Cemetery is a 35 acre development located in Van Meter, IA.  It will be the first state owned and operated cemetery in Iowa, providing burial space for any eligible veteran and their spouses or dependents.  Construction started in July 2007and the completion is scheduled for June 2008.

This project consists of multiple structures including; pre-buried pre-cast crypts, columbarium walls, a committal shelter, administration/maintenance building, vehicle storage and garage, and a material storage bin.  Also included is the extensive road system, utilities, irrigation systems, landscaping, and turf establishment.
