Johnston Town Center Grand Opening
The Community of Johnston came together in a big way on Saturday to celebrate the Grand Opening of the Johnston Town Center. The striking and environmentally sustainable City Hall, splash pad, and “The Yard” park created the perfect setting for a day full of family fun and entertainment. Iowa’s own American Idol winner Maddie Poppe delighted the crowd along with Jason Walsmith of the wildly popular The Nadas. And for those more inclined to visual art, local artist Reinaldo Correa presented his “Ripples” sculpture to a delighted crowd of onlookers and fans.
