The Community Foundation of Greater Des Moines officially launched the C3 Center

The Community Foundation of Greater Des Moines has operated out of the iconic Finkbine Mansion for over 20 years. As the organization has grown and its reach has extended to help countless nonprofit entities and community organizations; its need for more space become apparent. The Community Foundation made the bold decision to purchase the sturdy but tired building right outside its backdoor to create a campus-like feel via an outdoor plaza and a vertical expansion of the building to develop the C3 Center; a gathering place for connection, collaboration, and community-building with its many partners. With the help of Slingshot Architecture and Confluence, the C3 Center vision was born and defined. We were honored to be selected to carry out this plan and bring this beautiful repurposed building to its new life.
