About the project
When JPMC considered new locations for retail banking centers in the Des Moines metro; Ankeny was a prime
location. The remarkable growth that Ankeny has experienced in recent years has precipitated a surge in
demand for a diversified range of financial banking options. The challenge was to build this facility within a busy,
congested shopping center. Situated in the popular “Shops on Delaware” market district, the center benefits
from a central location previously built out with many retail and entertainment offerings creating strong visibility
and traffic but a challenging construction site. In order to open as quickly as possible the branch was designed
using modular construction techniques and building systems. This allowed portions of the building to be
prefabricated offsite and expedited through site-construction resulting in significantly less time to build.
