About the project
Homemakers’ four-phase project required the store to stay open throughout construction. It also was scheduled to take 24 months but it was completed in just 18 thanks to thorough planning during preconstruction and design. The project significantly increased the store’s display area by 35,000 square feet and more than doubled its adjoining warehouse space. The building footprint is so large that helicopters were required to place the HVAC equipment on the center of the rooftop. In addition, a state-of-the-art, drive-through customer pick-up area was constructed along with 500 new parking spots.
